The latest sociological sciences pay specific attention to and examine this issue from two aspects; the stimulators of demagogues that direct the masses and placing masses in the path of specific group goals. The present study explains and recognizes the characteristics of demagogues in orienting the masses, based on the short history of Imam Ali's rule and his teachings. According to historical shreds of evidence, the Imam's opponents, by deceiving the masses, have tried to seize power and exclude Imam from the rule, which has paved the way for removing the Alawite government and transfer of power to the demagogues. This study has been conducted through content analysis and library data collection method, in fundamental and practical approaches. The results indicated that the rulers in power, with characteristics such as hypocrisy, meretriciousness, unity on falsehood, worldliness, complicity with Satan, and spreading suspicion throughout society, are void individuals and lead society towards their own goals. فریب عوام توسط عوام‌فریبان, پدیده‌ای است که از دیر باز در کنش بین حکومت‌ها و اربابان قدرت با مردم, به عنوان یک واحد اجتماعی, دیده شده‌است. علوم جامعه‌شناسی جدید نیز با بررسی این مهم از دو منظر؛ محرک‌های عوام‌فریبان در جهت‌دهی توده و نیز قرار‌گرفتن توده در مسیر اهداف گروهی خاص, توجه ویژه‌ای به این پدیده اجتماعی با عنوان عوام‌فریبی نموده است. پژوهش حاضر به تبیین و شناخت ویژگی‌های عوام‌فریبان در جهت‌دهی عوام, بر اساس تاریخ حکومت کوتاه امام علی علیه السلام و آموزه‌های ایشان, پرداخته‌است. بر طبق شواهد تاریخی, مخالفان امام علیه السلام, با فریب عوام, سعی در به‌دست گرفتن قدرت و حذف امام علیه السلام از حکومت بوده‌اند و وجود این پدیده, زمینه‌ساز حذف حکومت علوی و انتقال قدرت به عوام‌فریبان گشته‌است. نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش با روش تحلیل محتوا و جمع‌آوری اطلاعات به روش کتابخانه‌ای و از دو منظر بنیادی و کاربردی, نشان‌دهنده این است که حاکمان قدرت و ارباب رسانه, با داشتن ویژگیهایی نظیر نفاق,آراستگی ظاهر و فساد باطن، انسجام و اتحاد بر باطل، دنیاطلبی, همدستی با شیطان و رهبر قراردادن او, شبهه افکنی و هیاهوگری در جامعه به عنوان خواص باطل, حضور دارند و جامعه را به سمت اهداف خاص خود هدایت می‌کنند. https://www.nahjmagz.ir/article_119790_fcc1b3ac70ea52f1a0512fde00957f7b.pdf
