The main distinction of this perspective from other emerging political ideologies lies in the degree of freedom of the people and the power of social institutions in controlling governments. Since there is a widespread tendency today to imitate Western-oriented policies, there is a fear that this theory, due to the liberating concepts it offers, may replace established and deeply rooted religious concepts in Islamic countries. Given that the consequences arising from the complete separation of religion from politics in Western countries have been proven by experience, strict adherence to such theories in Islamic societies can be severely damaging. Therefore, in explaining the correct and true Islamic teachings, which have infallible divine backing, the need for further culturalization is felt. Nahj al-Balagha, as a book containing political-social concepts and practical governmental recommendations, is a good source for clarifying the religious perspective and culturalization in this category. Therefore, the present study was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and a comparative evaluation approach of the components of an open society in Popper's theory with the teachings related to government and people in Nahj al-Balagha. The research findings indicate that: some aspects of this theory contradict Islamic limitations and principles, and although it appears practical with Western sociological justifications, it is not implementable in comparison with Islamic teachings, whose origin is divine knowledge, and in Islamic countries that are obligated to follow divine commands within the framework of specific rules to achieve true happiness, and will not lead to the progress of society and government. این پژوهش به بررسی انتقادی مفهوم «جامعهٔ باز» به‌عنوان یکی از نظریه‌های اثرگذار سیاسی ـ جامعه‌شناختی نیم‌قرن اخیر می‌پردازد؛ نظریه‌ای که با تأکید بر آزادی‌های گسترده و تقویت نهادهای مدنی در مهار حکومت، در بسیاری از کشورهای غربی مبنای سیاست‌گذاری قرار گرفته است. گرایش فزاینده به الگوهای سیاست‌ورزی غرب‌گرایانه، امکان جایگزینی ناآگاهانه این مفاهیم با آموزه‌های ریشه‌دار اسلامی را در جوامع اسلامی افزایش می‌دهد؛ در حالی‌که تجربه تاریخیِ جدایی دین از سیاست در غرب، پیامدهایی داشته است که تکرار بی‌تأمل آن می‌تواند برای جوامع دینی آسیب‌زا باشد. ازاین‌رو بازخوانی منابع اصیل اسلامی برای تبیین الگوی بومی حکومت ضرورتی دوچندان دارد. نهج‌البلاغه، به عنوان متنی سرشار از مضامین سیاسی ـ اجتماعی و توصیه‌های حکومتی، ظرفیت آن را دارد که مبنایی برای بازاندیشی در جامعه مطلوب اسلامی باشد. این پژوهش با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و رویکرد مقایسه‌ای، مؤلفه‌های نظریه جامعهٔ باز در اندیشه پوپر را با آموزه‌های حکومتی نهج‌البلاغه تطبیق داده است. یافته‌ها نشان میدهد بخشی از مؤلفه‌های این نظریه با اصول اسلام و حدود الهی ناسازگار است و با وجود کارآمدی ظاهری در چارچوب جامعه‌شناسی غربی، در جوامع اسلامی فاقد قابلیت اجرا بوده و نمی‌تواند در مسیر شکل‌گیری حکمرانی و جامعه‌ای سعادتمند نقش‌آفرینی کند.
