One of the most important things that have been paid attention to in religious teachings, especially Nahj al-Balaghah, is virtues and ethical values. In Nahj al-Balaghah (wisdom 47), Imam Ali (AS) mentioned four important ethical virtues and lifestyles: diligence, honesty, courage, and chastity. That having them is effective for human evolution and happiness. Saib Tabrizi, who was one of the poets of Persian literature in the Safavid era, due to the influences of religious teachings i.e., Nahj al-Balaghah and the Qur'an, mentioned these four important virtues in his divan. The purpose of this descriptive-analytical research is to investigate the reflection of these four virtues and ethical lifestyles in the poems of Saib Tabrizi and the amount of attention he has paid to them. The findings of the research indicate that Saib Tabrizi, influenced by the words of Imam Ali (AS), reflected the ethical virtues of Nahj al-Balaghah (wisdom 47) in his Divan. His purpose was to promote and encourage people to acquire virtues and observe an ethical lifestyle. So, the manifestations of these virtues in the poems of Saib and other poets indicate that they are influenced by religious teachings. Yet, having these ethical virtues and following the advice of God and Imams has a great effect on the individual, social, worldly, and afterlife happiness of human beings.
