Economic Justice and Its Impact on Prosperity and Health of Work and Production in Nahj Al-Balaghah

Abstract
Islam is a religion that invites people to a good life, as reflected in the verse: "Let us give him a good life" (An-Nahl 16:97). Its system of life, encompassing the prosperity of work, production, investment, employment, and other economic matters, functions like the flow of blood in the body of society, bringing freshness, independence, and dynamism. All these aspects are realized within the framework of economic justice. In this article, after highlighting the importance of justice from the perspective of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (AS) in all matters, especially in the economy, two important and fundamental issues are addressed. This research focuses on two key areas: (1) cultural and visionary reforms as a driving force for intellectual and ideological transformation in the field of Islamic economics, and (2) structural reform of the economic system as the hardware of the research subject, aiming to objectify economic justice. Following this, explanations are provided regarding the culture of work and its importance from the viewpoint of Imam Ali (AS), the effect of production and investment in realizing economic justice, and finally, the nine principles of economic justice as derived from Nahj al-Balaghah are mentioned. Regarding the aforementioned principles, it could be argued that more could be enumerated, but from the author’s point of view, the most important principles to mention are those stated. One of the prominent and outstanding features of this article is that most of the references to the subject under investigation are from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS), as stated in the noble book Nahj al-Balaghah.
